As Blake noted, we definitely shouldn’t expect an official release anytime soon. However, you can try the patch that adds the option to use DLSS Ray Reconstruction for viewport denoising in Cycles here. If you need guidance on getting it to work, you can also reach out to Blake for instructions.
Blender 5.1 has just entered its beta stage, and as usual, users are encouraged to test it and report any issues to help ensure a stable release next month.
