Creative minds usually build portable consoles out of stationary ones, but this time, we’re about to see a different transformation.

Tech enthusiasts behind the Retro Mod Works website have turned a PSP into a functional home console, and they can help you do the same.

The project, called PS Placeable, lets you connect a controller to a PSP while keeping access to the UMD drive so you can play games from the portable console on TV. This is a great way to give your broken PSP another chance, although you’ll have to rebuild it first, adding some parts and removing others.
