3D Artist Lisa She presented this amazing 3D character, poetically titled Wasteland Muse, with Fallout vibes of a hero in a post-apocalyptic adventure.
The artwork is based on a concept by Christophe Young. The 3D workflow included the following steps: the character was sculpted in ZBrush and retopology was done in Maya, with texturing handled using Substance 3D Painter. The artist completed grooming in Maya using XGen for posed renders; hair card maps were rendered in Maya using Arnold and placed with GS Curves. Rendering was completed in Unreal Engine 5.7.
Lisa She shared that the project served as a self-improvement challenge to push her skills in texturing, anatomy, and Unreal Engine implementation. According to the creator, the most crucial part was creating a hairstyle using hair cards.
