Senior Character Artist Mohamed Khalaf paid tribute to the cinematic Harry Potter universe by crafting a 3D recreation of Alastor “Mad-Eye” Moody from Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, portrayed by Brendan Gleeson. The project served as a personal challenge, aiming to capture the complexity of Moody’s distinctive character design.
The sculpt was made in ZBrush, textures were developed using TexturingXYZ as a base, then refined and customized in Mari and Substance 3D Painter to accurately match the character’s on-screen appearance. The clothing was created in Marvelous Designer, with final detailing sculpted in ZBrush. Grooming was completed using XGen, and the final renders were done in Arnold.
