Working with terrain can be quite challenging, but artist Simon Verstraete has a solution – a tool that allows you to change the ground easily.

Made with Houdini, it lets you sculpt, load, and manage terrains, simulate errosions, and export the file to game engines.

Verstraete generates different terrain tiles in Houdini, taking advantage of its Copernicus (COP) image processing framework to “texture everything on the fly.” The final file is in the glTF format, sent to Godot in this case. “It has also some options to trigger PDG for a mass recook and export.”
