BigguyDev, the developer of Busted Metal, an upcoming Mad Max-inspired indie shooter, showcased the destruction effects from the project.
The dev has been testing the toughness of various materials, which include metal, plastic, and concrete, and demonstrated how differently they behave when interacting with a moving car. As shared by the creator, the aim is to add as many destructible items as possible. The breakable elements might include obstacles, structures, and even the ground.
The game’s destruction system implies destroying other cars as well as the terrain, creating craters in the ground. Busted Metal will also feature a variety of modes, such as racing, extraction missions, and multiplayer.
