Tools like 3DCoat are great, but they’re no match for your favorite 2D painting software. This new release from Nanka Tsukurouyo could make your workflow a lot easier.
Called TXTRCast, it’s a texture painting add-on that lets you paint in your preferred painting software and instantly see your brush strokes reflected on the 3D model in Blender. TXTRCast currently supports Windows 10 and 11, requires Blender 4.0 or later, and works best with Clip Studio Paint or Photoshop. Mac and Linux are not supported yet.
The developer also warns that TXTRCast is still not fully stable and may cause crashes, so use it at your own risk. That said, it’s available for free here.
