With a month and a half to go before the March 2026 municipal elections, the Socialist candidate for mayor of Paris, Emmanuel Grégoire, revealed his campaign platform on Thursday, February 5, sharing several proposals in an interview with Le Monde. Leading an alliance of left-wing parties that does not include La France Insoumise (LFI, radical left), he has made housing one of his main priorities, promised not to further increase City Hall’s debt and stood firm on “a break” with the approach of the outgoing Socialist mayor, Anne Hidalgo, whom he served as first deputy mayor from 2018 to 2024.
