The French city of Angoulême hosts a popular comics festival every year. This year’s event, taking place from January 29 to February 2, will be the 52nd edition. The festival’s artistic director, Marguerite Demoëte, joined FRANCE 24’s Delano D’Souza to talk more about the place comics hold in French culture, their enduring popularity and some of the names to look out for at this year’s gathering.
