It’s not that easy to animate dragons, as they require a certain grandiose, powerful atmosphere, which can be challenging to translate into 3D. However, animator Maarten Leys knows what he’s doing, and this creature, Ymirak, has what it takes to terrify anyone.
This beautiful animation is a result of great teamwork: Leys created the motions using Till Sander-Titgemeyer’s model, Anderson Pinto’s rig, textures by Marvin Jaacks, and FX by Matthias Tatge. The rendering was done by the Eye-Candy.xyz team.
