‘Several dozen victims’ and 14 arrests in suspected French-Senegalese pedophilia ring

From Beauvais, north of Paris, to the city of Saly on the West African coast, are French and Senegalese authorities uncovering an international pedocriminality ring? On Sunday, February 8, Senegalese police announced a “major operation,” with the arrest of 14 people suspected of organized group pedophilia, pimping, rape of minors under the age of 15 and deliberate transmission of HIV. The information was first reported by Agence France-Presse and local newspaper Le Courrier Picard.

According to the French criminal investigations division, which is leading the investigation, all of the suspects are Senegalese and are believed to be part of a single “criminal group” “specializing in sexual training for young boys, who were turned into sexual objects by men, mostly HIV-positive, who engaged in unprotected and filmed sexual acts with them.” Of those living in Dakar or Kaolack, four have been identified as being more deeply involved and have been described by local investigators as “sex trainers.” These four have reportedly confessed to the acts and stated they acted under the orders of a French national, in exchange for compensation.
