Retirement, however, is not yet on the horizon: the “high priestess of fashion” remains global editorial director of Vogue and chief content officer at Condé Nast +.

Le Monde long ignored the figure before turning a more attentive eye to her. Her name appeared for the first time in the newspaper on October 22, 1997: it was briefly mentioned in an article in the fashion section on the spring 1998 collections, which “celebrated silhouettes with bare legs, ready to enter the 21st century.”
