Although the studio stopped short of revealing platforms, release windows, or the scope of the remasters, this marks the first official acknowledgment of projects that have circulated in reports and leaks for years. Both games remain among the highest-rated RPGs of their generation, with Fallout: New Vegas in particular continuing to enjoy an active modding community more than 15 years after launch.
Bethesda also reaffirmed that The Elder Scrolls VI remains the studio’s primary focus.
“The Elder Scrolls VI is our primary development focus today, with the majority of our team currently working on the next chapter of the franchise,” the company said, adding that development is progressing as planned.
Meanwhile, Fallout 5 has officially entered pre-production. Bethesda described the sequel as a long-term destination for the studio following The Elder Scrolls VI, signaling that fans shouldn’t expect the next numbered Fallout anytime soon.
