Amid his 2024 reelection campaign, Biden dropped out of the race that July following questions from his party and others about his mental acuity and ability to lead. He endorsed then-Vice President Kamala Harris, who ultimately lost to President Donald Trump.
Democrats also bemoaned the memoir Harris released in September for making digs at fellow party members and reopening the wounds of the 2024 election.
The memoir will also cover his handling of Covid-19, the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol, the withdrawal of troops from Afghanistan, strengthening NATO and supporting Ukraine, according to the announcement.
Biden had previously written “Promise Me, Dad: A Year of Hope, Hardship, and Purpose” about his son Beau’s battle with cancer, and “Promises to Keep: On Life and Politics” about his political career prior to becoming former President Barack Obama’s vice president.
The former president also mentioned in the video that his prostate cancer treatment has been “going really well.” He revealed his diagnosis in May last year.
