Over the weekend, this post on X/Twitter showcasing the new Flutterpage design from the Reverse: 1999 and Atomic Heart collaboration went viral because of one small detail: a ball that spins endlessly while giving the illusion of being fully 3D. The effect is surprisingly satisfying to watch.

Reverse: 1999 is a gacha RPG developed by Bluepoch that uses Live2D. MiiKO, whose work we’ve featured before on our site, shared their Live2D take on this ball, mentioning that they used culling to create the effect:
