Check out UV Flex from AlbertoFX, a Blender add-on for easy editing of UVs with a wide range of interactive tools for splitting, merging, reshaping, and spline-deforming UV islands.

The toolset helps speed up UV cleanup after unwrapping and will suit hard-surface modeling and prop creation workflows, especially for artists who prefer direct manipulation over working through menus.

Using the add-on, you can work directly in the UV Editor with viewport-driven tools. Precision controls let you adjust pick radius and falloff for fine-tuned behavior, while optional seam marking during split operations keeps seam integration part of the same workflow. UV Flex also features a clean, intuitive UI built into Blender’s toolbar. For UV island deformation, you can use falloff and 2D IK modes to shape splines directly.
