BlackRock's IBIT led the session with $502.99 million, accounting for more than 80% of the day's total. The latest daily figure followed inflows of $517.19 million on Aug. 19, $189.30 million on Aug. 18 and $297.56 million on Aug. 17, lifting cumulative net inflows for the category to $53.40 billion. The broader rally has coincided with a wave of short liquidations squeezing bearish positions.
Spot Ethereum ETFs added $221 million on Aug. 20, extending their own four-day inflow streak after recording $189.15 million the prior day. Bitcoin ETF trading volume reached $5.41 billion on Aug. 20, with total net assets at $90.16 billion. The last larger daily bitcoin ETF inflow was May 1, when the funds captured $629.73 million and net assets first crossed $100 billion. Whether the pace holds may depend on the rally, with profit-taking possible if momentum stalls.
